Hey, Iโ€™m Leslie. Iโ€™m a self-described local food junkie who is constantly looking for an authentic connection between the surrounding local farms in my community and my Midwest kitchen. I should mention that I do not want food sourced from just any local farm. I am searching for the small, family farms that are growing high-quality ingredients using soil and sunshine. These talented producers are working tirelessly to plant, cultivate and harvest a product that is incredibly different from what the large industrial and shallow organic farms are providing in our grocery stores and supermarkets. With so many confusing labels and dishonest marketing campaigns, I am looking to meet the honest farmers that are growing food with intention using traditional farming methods that have been used for hundreds of years. This space is about celebrating the tireless efforts of these farms and learning how to enjoy the incredible ingredients that are being produced and shared within our communities..
